What was the highlight of Hilton Playa del Carmen Resort
Wonderful
The staff was very nice everywhere we went in the resort, rooms were clean and what you would expect, and we enjoyed that there were lots of different activities planned to do at the resort for free. For my first all-inclusive experience, I was very pleased and would come back! I think this would be a good resort for couples who want a more lively atmosphere, or friend groups, specifically because of all the activities that are included. I took my parents there as a gift, and it was great for that too.
If you want a great beach experience, this is not the resort for you. While the chairs provided by the hotel are perfectly fine, the beach itself is very shallow and there for if feels like everyone is walking right against your chair as they go up and down the beach. This isn't anything the resort can change, it's just something to know if spending all day on the beach is really important to you. It's pretty to look at, have the breeze coming in off of it, but not great for lounging on all day.

Nice hotel, a bit outdated, but overall a good stay!
The location. Friendly staff. Amazing raccoon family living in the property. Multiple events during our stay.
The noise of the ac units on the 3rd floor. We couldn't sleep until we were accommodated in the room on the first floor. There is a bad smell from the ocean water at the beach. Assuming waste water being dumped from surrounding businesses. Also very rocky beach right next to the hotel reserved beach chairs.
